Free parking is available at the valley station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn for buses and cars of guests using the Ehrwalder Almbahn.
Overnight parking is not generally available unless you are staying in a hut, in which case you must leave your car registration number, name, address and telephone number at the valley station office.
There are 2 campsites in Ehrwald for caravans and mobile homes.

There are regular train connections, with connections to long-distance trains, from Reutte or Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Ehrwald. A bus to the Tyrolean Zugspitze Railway and the Ehrwald Alm Railway runs during the summer and winter seasons, Ehrwald Railway Station – Zugspitze Railway.
